Are you a hot drink lover like me? Healthy vegan autumn drinks are here!
When Autumn weather hits, there’s nothing more I love to do than curl up with my favourite mug (yes, I know you have one too!) filled with a comforting vegan drink. Before I was health-conscious, I’d use instant mixes of hot chocolate, add a ton of white refined sugar, and full fat dairy milk.
But now? I’ve actually made my own healthy vegan autumn drinks, that are sweet and satisfying, but without the damaging ingredients. In fact, many of them are nutritious and full of anti-oxidants.
My clients absolutely love these, and so I wanted to share them with you too. I’ve included them in picture format, so you can simply right-click and save to your device for future reference.
Top Tip!
Hot drinks can be made in a mug and simply stirred, but my top tip is to use a blender. If you don’t already have one, get a Ninja Professional Blender – it’s quality without breaking the bank. A blender makes a massive difference! With the drinks that use coconut milk powder, the blender helps to create a froth on top. You also find that the ingredients just mix together more smoothly in a high-speed blender. No odd chunks of cacao or matcha! Perfect.
Ready for beverage heaven? Here are my top 4 healthy vegan autumn drinks…
1. Chocolate Boosting Latte
This autumn drink is so filling. I love to make one in the evening if I’m feeling peckish, instead of snacking. It winds me down ready for bed, and keeps me satisfied until breakfast. If like me, you suffer with anxiety, I highly recommend adding the Lion’s Mane powder. Research has shown that this mushroom can help to reduce feelings of anxiety and make you feel more relaxed. And I promise you can’t taste it in this drink, either!
2. Frothy Matcha Latte
If you need a healthy caffeine hit, I highly recommend matcha. So many people stay away from it because of its colour, but I promise you, it tastes so much better than it looks. This is another super simple drink to make – you just throw everything into the blender again! The coconut milk powder makes this lovely and frothy on top, but if you’re not fussed about that, feel free to substitute with your favourite plant-based milk.
3. Hot Stewed Apple Cider
This recipe takes a little longer, so it’s good to make a batch of it, and reheat when required. I also love to make this one when I have guests over! It’s great for indoor get-togethers, and reminds me of being at an autumn carnival or firework event.
4. Creamy Vegan Eggnog
I just wanted to throw you a wacky option for the last healthy vegan autumn drink! Eggnog is so popular at Christmas time, but why not start off in autumn? The warming spices are anti-inflammatory, and the coconut milk provides much-needed healthy fats.
Which of the four sounds most appealing to you? Let me know in the comments below. I’d also love to hear your own ideas for healthy vegan autumn drinks!
